Arena Mode
The biggest update we've had so far introduces a completely new mode. In addition to the Mission, Scenario, Adventure, Battle and (not to forget) Plaza Modes, you'll now be able to accept the most dangerous dare in Avalon Heroes in the Arena Mode!
In the Arena Mode, your Hero will be on their own. No companions like in the Scenario Mode, no other Heroes or mobs to defeat your enemies. It's just you and the monsters and ensorcelled Heroes you must kill in order to survive.
Two different challenging modes will allow you to control how much you invest and how much you can get. In the Normal mode, you can quit the Arena anytime without having to fear the loss of your Hero. In the Hardcore mode, you don't have a choice: Either you defeat the Legendary Mob and win, or your Hero will be gone... But the rewards in the Hardcode mode are of course a lot better.
To enter the Arena Mode, you will need a Mark of the Brave which can be purchased for 5,000 Aron in the Lobby Store. 2,500 of these 5,000 Aron will be added to the overall jackpot. The overall jackpot can be obtained by the one Hero who defeats the Legendary Mob.
If you choose to play the Normal Mode, you can use items such as Ethereal Stones or equipment and "invest" them to increase your initial level and Gold. Starting at level 1 is of course a lot harder than starting at level 25 like in the Hardcore mode.
When you enter the Arena with your Hero, you'll find yourself in a room encountering four randomly chosen enemies which will either be monsters or enchanted Heroes with all their skills. You will need to defeat all of them within the set time limit (around 2 minutes) to proceed to the next round. Every time you complete a stage (a room), your chances to meet the Legendary Mob will increase. You will also get either Aron or SP and the drops from the monsters, for example mysterious treasure boxes.

New Heroes
Two new Heroes have been added to the game. INT-based and cut, but dangerous Teolia will enter the fray for Aeonia, while Masamichi with his brute force joins the squad of Oriens. Take a look at the new Heroes and choose the one which suits you best:

Teolia (a demon): A Hero featuring long-range attacks, using the power of ancient incantations to change the enemies' appearance. Hero Costumes
Now you can customize your Heroes further by purchasing costumes for them to enhance their looks. The costumes currently don't add any status values to your Heroes and they can be purchased in the AP Store in the game for a duration of either 7 or 30 days.
In upcoming patches, further Hero Choice Costumes and special event costumes will be added to the game. Click on one of the pictures below totake a look at the outfits and decide for yourself which look suits your Hero best!
In the current patch, the following costumes have been applied to the game: Hero Choice Costumes for Jarje, Keias, Neklit (Aeonia) and Ignes, Raiksha, Takiru (Oriens).
In addition to that, crazy football costumes for these Heroes have been added: Fletcher Brothers, Secmat, Lejena, Teolia, Bazraal (Aeonia) and Nachasha, Juajin, Masamichi, Shaochun, Subaekrim (Oriens).
The Football Costumes are only for sale during the Football World Championship 2010. You can purchase them in the AP Store for a duration of either 7 or 30 days. Encourage your country's team by dressing up like your football heroes!

Additional Changes & New Client
The following additional changes and fixes have been applied to the game during today's maintenance. Please note that next week, a new client including the Arena Mode patch will be available on our website and at selected partner websites. Although you can still continue to use the old client, we strongly recommend you to get the latest version next week. We will inform you about the release of the new client on the website.
- Avalon Heroes is now also available in Turkish! Welcome to all our Turkish Heroes
- The AP Store has partly been translated into all our supported languages. The missing parts which are now still English will be applied shortly
- You will no longer be able to get a Guild EXP bonus when you are playing the Scenario Mode
- Unmastered Heroes can no longer be gifted as it had been announced last week
- The Team Level (TLV) will now be displayed correctly in every menu
- Several item and Hero descriptions have been reviewed and adjusted to match their actual functions
